We went to the State Capitol for yesterday's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. N was more impressed with the architecture than the celebration.

Isn't that gorgeous? N took that photo. She sometimes feels awkward or shy in crowded settings so I'll hand her a camera. It sort of gives her a role and helps smooth the transition into the new setting. We've done this since she was, maybe, five years old and developed a pretty good eye for taking photos. Not that I'm biased in saying so!
